About Hanah Jesz, MA, LMFT

Hi, I'm Hanah (she/her), a laid back therapist who believes in life work balance for myself and my clients. I enjoy working with minorities including BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities including adolescents, young adults, and adoptive families. In addition, I have a special interest in working with people who professionally work with animals because of my background in dogs. If you struggle with burn out, anxiety, or low self-esteem, I can help you explore and challenge these difficulties. I also use a compassionate lens to create more understanding for these parts of ourselves. I specialize in brainspotting, exposure and response prevention, and play therapy when working with anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, and ADHD. I want my clients to feel heard, understood, and to be supported to live their best lives.

I received my bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Minnesota and graduated with my master's in marriage and family therapy in 2019 at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. Before starting a solo private practice, I worked in schools, in-home, and group private practices working with people from all walks of life.

When I'm not working, I fill my time with baking, DIY projects, training my dogs, and going to trivia with friends. I love traveling the world with my partner too. I look forward to hearing what brings you joy during difficult times and how you cope with everyday stressors. I hope we can get to know one another to create a strong therapeutic relationship.
